Site Reliability Engineer Intern (Compute Platform) - 2026 Summer (BS/MS)

About the role#

The Compute Platform Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team supports Big Data services and products across the organization. This role focuses on maintaining the reliability of major data warehouse products and query engines, including ClickHouse, Spark, Presto, and Doris. Interns will gain industry exposure by working on real-world infrastructure challenges and contributing to the stability of services that support business needs across the company.

What you'll do#

• Ensure all service level objectives and agreements for Data Platform services are met.
• Respond promptly to system outages and troubleshoot service incidents.
• Analyze performance and reliability patterns to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
• Lead postmortem efforts to mitigate service-impacting events.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate performance and reliability considerations into the software lifecycle.
• Forecast infrastructure needs through capacity and demand planning.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong coding skills in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, Shell, Java, or Go.
• In-depth understanding of Linux, computer networking, and databases.
• Proficiency with SRE/DevOps open-source toolsets, system monitoring tools, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Ability to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2026.
