About the role#
The Content Operations team focuses on the long-term health and prosperity of the TikTok content ecosystem. This internship offers the opportunity to support the identification of ecosystem issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of methodologies and metrics used to optimize content distribution and user experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist in ecosystem issue discovery operations by identifying potential challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teammates on resolution processes.
- Participate in the design and implementation of issue discovery methodologies, including identification, classification, and resolution steps.
- Use data analysis tools to conduct preliminary trend analysis and investigate content quality and experience issues.
- Support the analysis of root causes and contribute to process improvements and preventive measures.
- Develop simple reports and visualizations to present findings and support team decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2026.
- Strong logical thinking skills with a passion for systematic problem-solving.
- High sensitivity to content and cultural dynamics, with an understanding of internet industry trends and regulatory landscapes.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a fast learner.
- Proficiency in SQL and report generation is preferred.
