About the role#
As a Data Engineer Intern on the E-Commerce team, you will contribute to building and optimizing large-scale data platforms. This 12-week internship offers hands-on experience with data systems that support core products and millions of users. You will work on real-world scenarios to develop your technical skills and gain exposure to the data platform ecosystem.
What you'll do#
- Design and build efficient, reliable data transformations for reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional analysis.
- Implement scalable, robust, and extensible big data systems to support business and product needs.
- Establish solid design patterns and engineering best practices for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later, with the intent to return to your degree program after the internship.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2026.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, Kafka, ClickHouse, or Flink.
- Experience performing data analysis, data ingestion, and data integration.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, schema design, and SQL queries is preferred.
