About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 within the Internal Audit department at TIAA. You will spend 10 weeks gaining hands-on experience in financial, operational, and integrated audits. This role is based on-site and provides exposure to the organization's risk-based internal auditing methodology.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial, operational, and integrated audits using the company's risk-based methodology.
- Test records and accounts to verify compliance with regulations and sound business practices.
- Analyze audit data and observations to document conclusions and findings.
- Prepare workpapers for review by audit management.
- Support business initiatives by contributing to projects that impact business objectives and client outcomes.
- Collaborate on research projects and strategic presentations, including the creation of PowerPoint and Excel deliverables.
- Coordinate project materials and meetings to support team workflows.
- Conduct independent research to gather market intelligence and competitive analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration.
- No prior work experience is required.

- This position is located on-site in Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, or Dallas, TX.
- This is a full-time, paid 10-week summer program.
