About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Glendale, California. You will work alongside tax professionals to support multi-state companies with tax savings and local tax controversies. This role requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Identify tax savings opportunities for clients.
- Assist with state and local tax controversies by preparing clients for auditor discussions.
- Represent clients at hearings and appeal meetings.
- Prepare formal protests.
- Research and draft technical memoranda on tax issues.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities.
- Review documentation and perform detailed calculations using raw data.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- At least 6 to 12 hours of Accounting coursework.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web research.
- A valid driver's license.
