About the role#
Thomas & Hutton is hiring a Civil Design Intern to join the Civil/Site team in Greenville. This role offers hands-on experience with land development projects. You will work alongside engineers and designers to support projects across the Southeast.
What you'll do#
- Prepare site-development plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Support the design of water, sewer, and storm-drainage layouts and construction drawings.
- Assist with permit packages and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams on daily tasks.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for modeling and drafting efforts.
- Organize project documentation to meet scope, schedule, and quality goals.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in land development and site design.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, with Civil 3D exposure preferred.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational habits.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn and contribute in a team setting.
Location & details#
- Location: Greenville, South Carolina.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Part-time.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Flexible based on academic commitments).
