About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op position based in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. You will work on various control system projects, providing support for hardware and software design, integration, testing, and installation. You will take direction from project leads and senior staff to gain technical experience in automation machinery manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Assist project teams with system installation and commissioning.
- Develop skills in Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming.
- Perform basic control system design with guidance from senior staff.
- Gain experience using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools.
- Develop a basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and IT network systems.
- Practice Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and proof-read your own documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers and complete tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Identify and report issues that fall outside your assigned scope of work.
- Actively seek knowledge from senior staff and independently study relevant technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Microsoft operating systems.
- Strong hands-on mechanical capabilities.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to remain fit for duty at all times.
