About the role#
This Senior Co-Op position focuses on Research & Development within our Digital and metrology teams. We look for graduate students to join our strategic pipeline for future leadership. You will work on-site to develop new technologies, solve complex technical problems, and collaborate across functional teams. This role requires geographic flexibility for both the current assignment and potential future career opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Develop AI, machine learning, computer vision, and high-throughput semiconductor metrology algorithms.
- Build computational models for electron and ion beam systems using Python and charged-particle simulation tools.
- Design, integrate, and optimize microscopes and related components such as vacuum systems and high-voltage equipment.
- Plan and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate system performance, including alignment and stability testing.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical methods, curve fitting, and regression.
- Document all methods, workflows, models, and results while sharing findings with engineering and science teams.
- Partner with scientists and customers to translate real-world problems into technical solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Degree pursuit in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering fields including Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical.
- Proven leadership experience through campus organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or other initiatives.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on results.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Previous internship or related work experience is preferred.
