The ESPN Sports Marketing team is a centralized group responsible for brand and content marketing. This team manages campaign and media strategy, budgeting, and fan engagement across shows, events, and platforms such as the ESPN App. As an intern, you will work with cross-functional teams, including creative, research, and programming, to support marketing efforts and identify new opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, execution, and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns for the NBA on ESPN portfolio, including NBA Tip Off, Inside the NBA, and NBA Christmas Day.
- Observe and assist with NBA on ESPN initiatives across both broadcast and streaming platforms.
- Support marketing and experiential planning for NBA and Disney cross-promotional opportunities.
- Conduct research on industry trends and assist with project management to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with various departments to drive cross-departmental learnings.
What you'll need#
- Experience in sports marketing with a working understanding of core marketing principles.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, organized approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An eagerness to think creatively and innovate within marketing strategy.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a preference for students in their Junior or Senior year.
- Coursework in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Media Studies, or related fields.
- Ability to work three full days a week in the New York City office.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.

- Compensation: $22.50 per hour.
