About the role#
The Recording Academy is seeking a student for a Fall 2026 internship with the Songwriters & Composers Wing. This program offers exposure to professional recording industry techniques and practices through office administration, event management, and artist relations. The position is paid and requires the intern to receive college credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event management for local in-person and virtual events.
- Support educational programs and newsletters.
- Contribute to membership recruitment and database management.
- Provide administrative office support.
- Work 20 to 24 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving up to 60 pounds and sitting or standing for long periods.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate student in a college or university.
- One year of coursework towards a degree in a related field, such as Communications, Business Administration, Media Studies, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, or Art.
- A letter from your school confirming eligibility for college credit.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A demonstrated interest in the recording industry.

- Location: Nashville, Tennessee (remote and on-site options available).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026, to December 11, 2026).
- Applicants based in Nashville are preferred.
