About the role#
The Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter is offering a paid internship for the Fall 2026 semester. This program provides junior, senior, or graduate students with on-site training in office administration, event management, and artist relations. The internship runs from September 8, 2026, to December 11, 2026, requiring 20 to 24 hours of work per week. Candidates must be able to receive college credit for the internship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the chapter office to support local events, including some evening and weekend commitments.
- Assist with event management, educational programs, and the production of newsletters.
- Support membership recruitment efforts through database management and demographic analysis.
- Provide general administrative office support.
- Gain exposure to professional recording industry techniques and practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
- At least one year of course work toward a degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Human Resources.
- A demonstrated interest in music and a commitment to a career in the recording industry.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to lift or move up to 60 pounds and work at a computer for extended periods.
