About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for the 2027 season. You will support the vegetable production and sales teams by helping plan, schedule, and execute daily operations. This role offers exposure to various parts of the company and may lead to a full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with the Sales Manager and Sales Assistants on daily tasks.
- Manage material and product inventories to keep availability data accurate.
- Direct truck drivers and verify that products are loaded correctly.
- Assist growers with the Grower Portal, including printing tags and handling troubleshooting.
- Support the sales team during calls as needed.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED. Some college is preferred.
- Experience in customer service. Background in fresh produce is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively.
- Ability to think and react clearly in fluid, changing situations.
- Knowledge of USDA standards and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel to different work locations as required.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in North Carolina.
- Approximately 80% of your time will be in Clinton and 20% in Raleigh.
- Work occurs in a mix of office, warehouse, and field environments.
- You may be exposed to outdoor weather, dust, and agricultural machinery.
