About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship focused on the potatoes and onions department. You will support the sales and production teams by helping plan, schedule, and execute daily activities. The role involves significant travel to various growing locations to learn how the company operates in the field and office.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and Sales Assistants.
- Oversee material and product inventories to ensure accurate availability.
- Direct truck drivers and confirm correct product loading.
- Assist growers with the Grower Portal, including printing tags and troubleshooting.
- Support the sales team with sales calls as needed.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED. Some college is preferred.
- Customer service experience. Experience with fresh produce is a plus.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and USDA standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
- Ability to think and react appropriately in fluid situations.
- Ability to reliably travel to various work locations as required.
