About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience in the agricultural sector, focusing on apple, pear, and cherry commodities. You will work with the sales and operations teams to learn how products move from growers to customers. This role involves a mix of office, warehouse, and field work, with opportunities to travel to various locations to support seasonal operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the full sales cycle, including order entry, administrative support, and customer service.
- Assist with accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Support warehouse operations by managing inventory, loading products, and coordinating with truck drivers.
- Work with grower relations, including using the Grower Portal and printing product tags.
- Gain exposure to quality control processes and general company operations.
- Travel to partner and customer locations as needed to support business activities.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED. Some college experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience.
- Familiarity with the fresh produce industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and USDA standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively and react appropriately in fluid situations.
- The ability to reliably travel to various work locations.
