About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 within the Melons and Western Vegetables department. You will support the sales and production teams by helping plan, schedule, and execute daily activities. This role offers exposure to different areas of the business and the potential to transition into a full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with the Sales Manager and Sales Assistants.
- Oversee product and material inventories to track availability.
- Direct truck drivers and verify that products are loaded correctly.
- Support growers using the Grower Portal, including printing tags and handling troubleshooting.
- Assist the sales team with client calls.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED. Some college experience is preferred.
- Experience in customer service. Background in fresh produce is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
- The ability to think and react clearly in fluid, changing situations.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and USDA standards.
- The ability to travel to various work locations as required.

- Locations: Raleigh, North Carolina and Ty Ty, Georgia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This position is full-time and paid. Travel to Tifton, Georgia may be required from late May through mid-July, with local travel in North Carolina from mid-July through early August.
