About the role#
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is looking for a year-round intern to support the Options Industry Council (OIC). This team provides educational resources to help investors and financial professionals understand exchange-listed options. You will gain exposure to the financial industry while assisting with marketing operations, social media, and website management. This is a paid internship running from January 2027 through December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Draft and schedule social media content and support paid social campaigns.
- Create email marketing content and manage subscriber lists.
- Execute email marketing campaigns.
- Perform website edits and updates.
- Maintain campaign tracking spreadsheets and assist with budget tracking.
- Support technology operations for educational programs.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising senior or second-year graduate student, graduating in December 2027, May 2028, or August 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing or Communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to use Excel for basic budget tracking and reporting.
- Strong digital literacy and the ability to learn new internal tools quickly.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability, strong time-management skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- A self-starter approach with intellectual curiosity.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You will be expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday as anchor days.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer, with a 1,000-hour cap for the year.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
