Instrumentation Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

The Instrumentation Engineer Co-Op/Intern provides support to the department by designing and executing technical projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work alongside Professional Engineers at an underground potash mine, contributing to facility efficiency and product quality initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with leadership and advanced technology to solve real-world challenges.
• Contribute to special project design and support initiatives for facility efficiency.
• Conduct fieldwork, including data collection, analysis, report writing, and database maintenance.
• Partner with a technical supervisor to troubleshoot and identify root causes of complex issues.
• Communicate with various levels of personnel, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participate in department and project-specific meetings.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Technician (second year or higher) with a minimum 72% average.
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering or working with student/school organizations.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience working in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, work at heights, and wear a respirator.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in an industrial environment.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Successful completion of a post-offer drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, and functional capacity examination.

• Location: Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Canada.
• Term: September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
• Modality: On-site, full-time (36-40 hours per week).
• Compensation: Paid position with a relocation package available for qualified candidates.
