About the role#
The Instrumentation Engineer Co-Op/Intern provides support to the department by designing and executing technical projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work alongside Professional Engineers at an underground potash mine, contributing to facility efficiency and product quality initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with leadership and advanced technology to solve real-world challenges.
- Contribute to special project design and support initiatives for facility efficiency.
- Conduct fieldwork, including data collection, analysis, report writing, and database maintenance.
- Partner with a technical supervisor to troubleshoot and identify root causes of complex issues.
- Communicate with various levels of personnel, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
- Participate in department and project-specific meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Technician (second year or higher) with a minimum 72% average.
- 1-2 years of experience volunteering or working with student/school organizations.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, work at heights, and wear a respirator.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in an industrial environment.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Successful completion of a post-offer drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, and functional capacity examination.

- Term: September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (36-40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position with a relocation package available for qualified candidates.
