About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Human Resources department at our manufacturing facility in McCalla, Alabama. You will work alongside HR teams and plant leadership to support core functions such as hiring, onboarding, talent management, and workforce planning. This role is designed to offer practical experience in relationship management and professional development during the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Partner with plant leadership and HR to attract, retain, and engage talent in line with business goals.
- Handle recruiting tasks for technical and hourly roles, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Support local site operations, such as coordinating employee appreciation events, community relations, and visitor management.
- Identify ways to improve HR support by streamlining manual processes.
- Manage and contribute to projects, ensuring they are completed on time.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to meet business needs.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore or junior standing in a degree program.
- Educational background in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong time-management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and a professional demeanor in an HR setting.
- Knowledge of standard business practices.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Manufacturing HR and serving our employee population.
