About the role#
This is a field-based internship for students interested in the green industry. You will work alongside experienced arborists, climbers, and plant health care technicians. The role provides exposure to the daily operations of a residential tree care office, including client service, sales, and leadership fundamentals. This is a full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and general maintenance.
- Assist with tree and landscape installation.
- Operate equipment safely, including chainsaws and chippers.
- Conduct plant health care tasks like deep root fertilization, soil care, and pest management.
- Deliver service to clients and maintain the health of landscapes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry, or a related discipline.
- A valid driver’s license. A commercial driver’s license is a plus.
- A genuine interest in plant care and the outdoors.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong communication skills.
