About the role#
The Arborist Trainee Internship is a field-based position for students interested in the green industry. You will work alongside experienced Arborists, Climbers, and Plant Health Care technicians to maintain the health and beauty of trees and landscapes. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and maintenance.
- Handle tree and landscape installation.
- Operate equipment safely, including chainsaws and chippers.
- Provide plant health care, such as deep root fertilization, soil care, and pest management.
- Assist with daily operations and business tasks.
- Learn fundamentals of client service, sales, management, and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry, or a related field.
- A driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license is a plus.
- A genuine interest in arboriculture and plant care.
- A love for working outdoors.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to report to work regularly and on time.

- Location: Gibsonia, Pennsylvania.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.
