About the role#
The Clorox Company offers a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in research and development. This full-time, paid position runs from June through August. You will work on technical projects that provide practical experience in product, packaging, and process development. Throughout the summer, you will attend a formal orientation, participate in professional development sessions, and connect with peer mentors and company executives. You will also complete a personal project to present to the leadership team at the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and refine consumer products.
- Use laboratories and pilot plants for hands-on technical work.
- Optimize experiments, collect data, and perform statistical analysis to make project recommendations.
- Conduct consumer testing, mechanical and chemical performance testing, and package component qualifications.
- Work across product, packaging, and process development teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment with various materials, including dust.
- Fine motor skills required to prototype samples.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
