About the role#
The Research & Development team at The Clorox Company develops consumer products from initial concept to the final goods found on store shelves. As a Packaging Co-op, you will work alongside scientists and engineers in Pleasanton, California, to support our innovation pipeline. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027, operating on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to develop packaging solutions that improve product performance.
- Conduct real-world testing, including drop, vibration, and ship tests.
- Support production trials and define testing protocols.
- Develop standard operating procedures and apply engineering principles to solve packaging challenges.
- Create and manage packaging specifications, such as fill weights, pallet configurations, and assembly diagrams.
- Work with cross-functional teams to interpret data and meet project objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior or Senior in Packaging Engineering or a similar field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Knowledge of ASTM packaging testing methods.
- Working knowledge of ArtiosCAD and CAPE software.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and organization skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and act as a self-starter.
