Welfare and Self-Reliance Paid Intern

About the role#

This paid internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience within the Humanitarian division's MEAL team. The role focuses on supporting technical solutions, including AI tools, data visualization, and process optimization. This is an analytical position rather than a software development role; no coding is required. Interns will work under general supervision to apply principles learned in their academic studies to real-world humanitarian and operational challenges.

What you'll do#

• Configure, test, and maintain AI solutions, including Copilot Studio agents.
• Develop prompting strategies, testing approaches, and evaluation methods for AI outputs.
• Create sustainability plans and documentation to ensure continued in-house support.
• Design and develop data visualizations and reports, such as Power BI dashboards, for stakeholders.
• Analyze and improve team workflows, tools, and processes.
• Document business requirements and best practices.
• Serve as a technical liaison to assist team members in using tools and systems effectively.
• Support the implementation and optimization of internal tools like Monday.com and Power Apps.
• Collaborate with technology and data teams to align with broader systems and standards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an educational institution or graduation within the last year.
• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Communications.
• Strong analytical thinking skills and an interest in applying emerging technologies.
• Ability to meet rigid and challenging deadlines.
• Tact, diplomacy, and the ability to work in harmony with others.
• Sound judgment regarding Church doctrine, history, organization, policy, and protocol.
• Membership in the Church and worthiness to hold a temple recommend.
