About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain professional experience by supporting parking operations at Church Headquarters. This position is designed for educational development, allowing interns to apply academic principles to an actual work setting. The role involves providing administrative support to functional teams and assisting with the daily management of parking facilities to ensure a safe, efficient environment for employees and guests.
What you'll do#
- Deliver professional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and explaining parking guidelines.
- Assist with daily parking operations, including shift scheduling, managing reserved parking, and handling event logistics such as signage and traffic flow.
- Maintain accurate records, handle data entry, and prepare reports, memos, and presentations.
- Support parking compliance by issuing notices and responding to enforcement-related questions.
- Perform administrative tasks including screening phone calls, sorting mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining office files.
- Monitor parking lot conditions to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Support the use of parking management software and online systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an educational institution or graduation within the last year.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written forms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software at a developing level.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow instructions.
- Ability to work with discretion, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Willingness to work events and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, such as operating company vehicles, moving about the office, and remaining stationary for extended periods.
Location & details#
- Location: Church Office Building, Salt Lake City, UT.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (40 hours per week).
- Term: Temporary position lasting 6-12 months.
- Compensation: $21-$23/hr, depending on experience.
- Note: This position is limited to members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend.
