About the role#
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Project Management Intern to support the Pathways initiative. This role involves working within the IT department to manage project timelines, resources, and budgets while collaborating with engineers, product managers, developers, and vendors. You will support the alignment of Church IT systems with global education platforms and contribute to the delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant global payment solutions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate across disciplines to build project plans, including resource requirements and budgets.
- Lead project timelines to ensure technology solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and according to business requirements.
- Support global payment solution initiatives, including integration with payment gateways, banking partners, and financial systems.
- Coordinate the delivery of payment capabilities across multiple countries, currencies, and regulatory environments.
- Communicate regularly with BYU-Pathway teams and stakeholders to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and business partners to support successful outcomes.
- Develop management reports to communicate project status and contribute to risk mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or graduation within the last year from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Data Science.
- Status as a temple-worthy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Solid business presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with management levels.
- A background in technology is desired, with project management experience considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Endpoint Management, LucidChart, InfoPath, Photoshop, and HTML.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite and project management software.
Location & details#
- Location: Riverton, Utah.
- Term: Summer 2026, with a duration of approximately 6 months.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Modality: Hybrid and on-site options available.
- Compensation: $24 per hour.
