About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn fundamental design principles, receive mentorship, and build a portfolio through hands-on project experience. You will work alongside product managers and engineers to determine how users interact with products. This is a full-time, paid position lasting approximately 4 months.
What you'll do#
- Design and prototype front-end web experiences based on user-centered principles.
- Translate user insights into high-quality, intuitive designs through iterative feedback.
- Create mockups and wireframes using modern design tools and techniques.
- Conduct basic user research methods such as interviews and usability feedback.
- Collaborate in agile teams with designers, engineers, and product managers.
- Apply visual design fundamentals including layout, typography, and iconography.
- Support product launches through training materials and communication efforts.
- Participate in design critiques and team brainstorming sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled or within one year of graduation from an accredited college or university.
- Temple-worthy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Portfolio of UX or design work.
- Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design ideas clearly.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while working in a collaborative environment.
- Majors in Computer Science or Graphic Design are preferred.
Location & details#
- Locations: Riverton, UT or Lehi, UT.
- Modality: Remote, on-site, or hybrid options available.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Terms: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Benefits: Full-time interns may enroll in a high-deductible medical plan.
