About the role#
This paid internship provides an opportunity to apply academic principles within a professional setting. Working under general supervision, you will support the English Connect program by contributing to curriculum development and instructional design. This role is intended to provide a valuable educational experience that bridges classroom learning with practical application.
What you'll do#
- Assist in designing, writing, and refining lesson plans and educational resources tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Conduct research on best practices in after-school programming and educational strategies.
- Produce instructional materials, including workbooks, presentations, and multimedia content.
- Collaborate with program staff to implement activities, prepare materials, and organize learning environments.
- Gather feedback from students and instructors to evaluate curriculum effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an educational institution or graduation within the past year.
- A solid understanding of educational principles and practices.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to meet challenging deadlines and work collaboratively in a team.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to take direction.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment regarding Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy.
