About the role#
Student Services Representatives provide support to BYU-Pathway Worldwide students through inbound and outbound communication. This role involves managing casework via email, phone, and video calls while using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address student inquiries. Representatives must remain current on policy changes and standard procedures, as performance is regularly evaluated based on adherence to these guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Assist students with various needs using technical skills and clear, concise verbal communication.
- Manage a high volume of casework as the primary responsibility.
- Stay updated on evolving policies and procedures through the internal knowledge base.
- Participate in special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Work shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on staffing needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a degree-seeking student at Ensign College, BYU-Pathway Worldwide, BYU, BYU-Idaho, or BYU-Hawaii.
- Must reside in Utah or Idaho.
- High School Diploma, GED, or current enrollment in PathwayConnect.
- Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must be enrolled at Ensign College.
- Must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worthy of a temple recommend.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This position is remote, requiring a private, quiet workspace.
- Technical requirements include a computer (no Chromebooks) with at least 4 GB of RAM, a 1024x768 resolution screen, and a stable internet connection (minimum 4 Mbps upload/8 Mbps download recommended).
- Hours are part-time, with potential for up to 40 hours during peak periods like the start of new semesters.
