Student Services Representative - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Part-Time, Student Employee)

About the role#

Student Services Representatives provide support to BYU-Pathway Worldwide students through inbound and outbound communication. This role involves managing casework via email, phone, and video calls while using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address student inquiries. Representatives must remain current on policy changes and standard procedures, as performance is regularly evaluated based on adherence to these guidelines.

What you'll do#

• Assist students with various needs using technical skills and clear, concise verbal communication.
• Manage a high volume of casework as the primary responsibility.
• Stay updated on evolving policies and procedures through the internal knowledge base.
• Participate in special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Work shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on staffing needs.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a degree-seeking student at Ensign College, BYU-Pathway Worldwide, BYU, BYU-Idaho, or BYU-Hawaii.
• Must reside in Utah or Idaho.
• High School Diploma, GED, or current enrollment in PathwayConnect.
• Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must be enrolled at Ensign College.
• Must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worthy of a temple recommend.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Location & details#

• This position is remote, requiring a private, quiet workspace.
• Technical requirements include a computer (no Chromebooks) with at least 4 GB of RAM, a 1024x768 resolution screen, and a stable internet connection (minimum 4 Mbps upload/8 Mbps download recommended).
• Hours are part-time, with potential for up to 40 hours during peak periods like the start of new semesters.
