About the role#
The Program Operations Intern supports the Program Operations team within the Seminaries and Institutes (S&I) Online Learning Division. This role focuses on managing BYU-Pathway Worldwide religion courses, assisting with instructor assignments, and contributing to cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain daily operational reports.
- Analyze data and deliver insights to S&I partners supporting BYU-Pathway religion courses.
- Assist with instructor assignments for each BYU-Pathway block.
- Support process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and accuracy across program operations.
- Develop, update, and maintain internal documentation and user-facing resources.
- Assist with provisioning and access management for online teachers and administrators, including user account setup.
- Draft communications and support scheduling-related messaging for administrators and teachers worldwide.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system bugs and workflow issues in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past 12 months) from an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in data analytics, business analytics, computer science, or a related field.
- Must reside in Utah and be authorized to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel and familiarity with Power BI.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay self-motivated.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Open to feedback with a willingness to learn and improve.
- Preferred: Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps), learning management systems like Canvas, user provisioning, or fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Modality: Hybrid (periodic in-office attendance required).
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week). Occasional work outside regular business hours, including Saturdays, may be required.
- Status: Paid, nonexempt, with an expected duration of up to 12 months.
