About the role#
The Organizational Outreach Relations Intern supports the Salt Lake Temple Celebration Outreach Manager within the Government, Community and Interfaith Relations team. This role focuses on coordinating communication efforts for organizations, associations, conferences, and community partners. This is a 12-month, paid internship requiring 28 hours per week, with a schedule of Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, plus 4 additional hours on Monday or Friday. Employment is limited to members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend.
What you'll do#
- Support outreach and relationship management for organizations, conferences, travel executives, and group leaders.
- Manage the intake, tracking, scheduling, and communication of group reservation requests.
- Coordinate with internal teams and partner sites to ensure successful group visits, including logistics and guest communications.
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, and planning materials to support group engagement.
- Maintain tracking tools, process documentation, and reporting to support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently completed coursework in communications, public affairs, event management, hospitality, nonprofit management, business, public relations, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and event or reservation management tools is a plus.
