About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting enterprise technology services within the IT Operations team. You will work alongside experienced engineers and service management professionals to gain practical knowledge in incident management, system monitoring, and operational process improvement. Please note that employment with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints requires members to be worthy of a temple recommend.
What you'll do#
- Monitor enterprise systems and operational dashboards to identify service issues and trends.
- Assist with alert triage, incident management, and escalation activities.
- Support operational communications and documentation during service events.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and reports to provide actionable insights.
- Analyze ServiceNow platform data to identify trends, measure performance, and support operational decision-making.
- Research opportunities for process improvement, automation, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and service owners to improve service reliability and customer experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or within one year of graduation).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred: Experience with Power BI, data visualization, or business intelligence tools.
- Preferred: Familiarity with ServiceNow or IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts.
- Preferred: Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Power Query, SQL, or related analytical tools.
- Preferred: Interest in IT operations, system monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence.
