International Student Part-time Custodian Positions

About the role#

This is a part-time custodial position specifically for international students attending Ensign College. The role focuses on maintaining headquarters facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Note that employment requires being a member of the Church who is worthy of a temple recommend.

What you'll do#

• Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms daily or as instructed.
• Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, and wooden paneling.
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, including vacuums, buffers, and large scrubbers.
• Perform emergency cleanups, including floods and spills.
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs.
• Restock supplies and dispose of trash and waste.

What you'll need#

• Ability to independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, push, pull, twist, and bend for extended periods.
• Proficiency in English to comprehend video training, communicate for safety and security purposes, and ask clarifying questions.
• Ability to follow all regulations regarding the safe handling of cleaning solvents and chemicals.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Previous custodial experience is welcomed but not required.

Location & details#

• Location: Ensign College, Salt Lake City, Utah.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 pm – 1:00 am (20 hours per week).
• Compensation: $18.00 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour differential.
• This is a part-time position without medical benefits.
