About the role#

This internship within the Family Services organization provides direct counseling services and consultation to ecclesiastical leaders. The role focuses on helping Church leaders support individuals facing social and emotional challenges, including mental health concerns, family relationship issues, and crisis situations, while ensuring all resources remain in harmony with gospel principles. This is a paid, full-time position requiring strict adherence to confidentiality, legal standards, and professional policies.

What you'll do#

• Provide clinical care under close supervision.
• Offer consultation and maintain rapport with Church leaders.
• Maintain accurate and updated clinical notes within the data collection system.
• Ensure the work area remains clean, safe, and organized.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a 2nd-year master's degree student in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of legal issues relevant to the counseling profession.
• Ability to communicate sensitive subject matter professionally with clients and leadership.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and execute an individual training plan for professional development.
• Ability to provide services in accordance with gospel standards and values.
• Ability to maintain exacting standards of moral conduct.
