Interfaith Relations Intern - Paid

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment by supporting interfaith efforts and initiatives. The role is designed to provide educational experience in public affairs and relationship-centered work on a global scale.

What you'll do#

• Assist in identifying and cultivating relationships with national and global faith leaders while tracking engagement opportunities.
• Maintain and organize department databases, including influencer contacts and event information, to ensure data accuracy.
• Support large-scale events, including temple open houses, General Conference, concerts, and other gatherings.
• Host visiting religious leaders and interfaith partners at Church headquarters.
• Contribute to research, writing, and the development of communications to support interfaith initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a current temple recommend.
• Must be in the final year of studies or have graduated within the past year in fields such as Public Health, Communications, Political Science, or related areas.
• Strong writing and editing abilities, with the capacity to draft professional correspondence and research summaries.
• Experience organizing information and maintaining accurate records using databases or tracking systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate confidently and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Location & details#

• Location: Joseph Smith Memorial Building, Salt Lake City, UT.
• Term: Summer 2026 (Part-time, 20 hours per week).
• Compensation: $23 per hour.
