Full Time Paid Intern - YA Weekly Design (Church Magazines)

About the role#

The YA Weekly Design intern assists in the ideation, design, and production of articles for Church print and digital magazines. This is a full-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 term (September–December). You will be mentored in all aspects of design, including conceptualization, art direction, and implementation. Candidates must be members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the design and production of articles for print and digital platforms.
• Create engaging social media content, including graphics and short-form video editing.
• Collaborate with peers and mentors on design projects.
• Exhibit excellence in editorial design and visual communication.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student in Graphic Design, Art, Media Studies, or Communications, or graduation within the last year.
• At least one year of college-level graphic design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience in editorial design and production.
• A basic understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy.
• Ability to sustain concentration for long periods to ensure accuracy.

• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
• Work Modality: On-site at the Church Office Building, with potential for partial remote work arrangements.
• Term: Fall 2026 (40 hours per week).
