About the role#
The Friend magazine is looking for an intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position lasting four months. You will work from the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, though remote arrangements may be possible depending on hiring needs.
What you'll do#
- Plan and create content for a global children's audience.
- Write and edit stories and articles.
- Find and interview families and children.
- Help develop activity pages.
- Participate in staff meetings to plan monthly issues.
What you'll need#
- You must be a member of the Church who is worthy of a temple recommend.
- Enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university, or a degree completed within the last year.
- At least one semester of college-level editing or writing experience.
- Strong skills in writing, revising, copyediting, and proofreading.
- A sound understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and maintain high accuracy.
- Professionalism and the ability to work well with others.
- Experience with video production and social media.

- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through April).
- Commitment: 40 hours per week.
