About the role#
The Latin America FamilySearch Intern supports the Planning Team across all Latin American countries. This role involves managing communications with volunteers throughout the United States and Latin America to grow a community of ambassadors who contribute to FamilySearch efforts. Candidates must be members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing communication strategy and processes for the community.
- Manage the content calendar and communications for ambassadors in Utah and all 6 ecclesiastical areas for various projects.
- Consolidate and document training materials for projects.
- Perform and coordinate genealogical research.
- Edit the FamilySearch Wiki and support volunteers in Spanish and Portuguese.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, including strong writing skills.
- Knowledge of family history research principles in Latin America and the FamilySearch Family Tree.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in Excel.
- Strategic mindset.
- Social media content creation experience is a plus.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, History, Sociology, or Anthropology.

- Eligibility: Qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation.
