About the role#
This is a full-time, 12-month paid internship focused on global initiatives that help members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints engage with temple and family history work. You will contribute to projects that shape member experiences, build your professional portfolio, and support the organization's global outreach efforts.
What you'll do#
- Project & Operations: Assist with project tracking, data entry, reporting, documentation, and maintaining organized team files. Support cross-departmental coordination for meetings and research.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content for websites, blogs, social media campaigns, email, and member-facing materials.
- Strategy & Research: Contribute to journey maps, process flows, and qualitative research summaries. Coordinate interviews, conferences, and audience listening sessions.
- Event Planning: Plan and coordinate events in support of RootsTech 2027.
- Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing campaign and engagement performance, organizing data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Innovation: Explore ways to integrate AI tools and automation to improve content creation, analysis, and operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate (within one year) of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business, Experience Design, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in technical or creative writing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Bonus consideration for experience with AI tools, basic web design, or multimedia production.
- Experience: Familiarity with FamilySearch tools and temple and family history work.
- Professionalism: Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You should demonstrate personal initiative and a strong work ethic.
- Requirement: Must be a member of the Church worthy of a temple recommend.
