About the role#
This externship supports the Children Ministry at Rockland Chinese Alliance Church. You will work 12 hours per week under the guidance of the Children Director and the Children Committee. This role focuses on building relationships with children, their families, and the church community.
What you'll do#
- Establish and lead a children choir.
- Teach Sunday School and the Friday Pioneer Club, including leading worship, prayers, Bible lessons, and games.
- Participate in monthly Committee meetings and Children Prayer meetings.
- Assist in selecting curricula for Sunday School and Pioneer Club programs.
- Help lead and organize special events such as VBS, church retreats, holiday celebrations, and camping trips.
- Support monthly activities for the Angel's Heart special needs ministry.
What you'll need#
- You are a baptized, born again Christian.
- You have a clear calling or vision for working with children, including those with special needs.
- You enjoy leading children in worship and prayer to help them grow their relationship with Jesus.
- You work well in a team and share the church's vision for raising godly younger generations.

- Location: Tappan, New York.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $850 per month.
- Term: Rolling basis.
