About the role#
The Pastor of Student and Family Discipleship leads the disciple-making ministry for children and students from birth through 12th grade. You will provide vision and leadership oversight to the Children's Ministry while serving as the primary shepherd and teacher for the Student Ministry. This is a full-time pastoral position within the church staff.
What you'll do#
- Cast and implement a gospel-centered discipleship vision for students in grades 6-12.
- Oversee the structure and teaching of Wednesday night student gatherings.
- Personally disciple students through intentional relational investment.
- Recruit, onboard, and train a team of 25-30 youth leaders.
- Coordinate ministry events and manage administrative tasks for the youth program.
- Provide vision and leadership oversight to the Children's Ministry, including support for the Director(s) of Children's Ministry.
- Serve the church body by attending weekly staff meetings and bi-monthly elder meetings.
- Participate in churchwide events and provide general pastoral care.
- Supply the pulpit when needed.
