About the role#
This is a part-time externship supporting the Children Ministry at the church. You will work 12 hours per week, which includes teaching, preparation, training, and building relationships with children and their families. You will work closely with the Children Committee under the direction of the Children Director.
What you'll do#
- Teach Sunday School from 10am to 12:30pm and the Friday Pioneer Club from 8pm to 10pm.
- Lead worship and prayers, teach Bible lessons, and facilitate games.
- Establish a children choir.
- Participate in monthly Committee meetings and monthly Children Prayer meetings.
- Assist in selecting curriculums for Sunday School and the Pioneer Club.
- Lead and support special events, including VBS, church retreats, holiday programs, and camping trips.
- Help with monthly activities for the Angel's Heart special needs ministry.
- Build and maintain relationships with children, parents, and the church community.
What you'll need#
- You are a born again, baptized Christian.
- You have a clear calling or vision for children, including those with special needs.
- You enjoy leading children in worship and prayer to help them grow their relationship with Jesus.
- You work well in a team and share the church vision of building up godly younger generations.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
- The position is on-site and part-time.
- This is a paid position at $850 per month.
