About the role#
As an Agentic AI Engineer Co-Op, you will design, build, and deploy autonomous AI systems that reason, plan, and execute multi-step workflows with minimal human intervention. You will focus on orchestrating goal-driven workflows that integrate models, tools, memory, and business logic to achieve objectives dynamically.
What you'll do#
- Design intelligent agents capable of autonomous planning, reasoning, and task execution using LLMs and multi-modal models.
- Implement agent orchestration using frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Semantic Kernel.
- Design and optimize RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector stores, and retrieval ranking.
- Integrate tools and memory for agent adaptation, enabling agents to interact with APIs and databases.
- Deploy GenAI and agentic systems in cloud-native environments, including CI/CD, versioning, and runtime safeguards.
- Create evaluation frameworks for accuracy, latency, and cost while building observability for agent behavior.
- Fine-tune or adapt foundation models for domain-specific use cases.
- Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, product teams, and governance stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Data Science academic program.
- At least 2 years of experience in AI/ML system design, deployment, or autonomous agent development.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with agent orchestration frameworks and multi-agent communication protocols.
- Practical experience with RAG architectures and LLM integration.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- Understanding of responsible AI, security, and compliance in regulated domains.
