About the role#
As a Sales & Management Intern, you will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the retail business and develop your management skills. This position focuses on providing a high-quality shopping experience for guests while gaining hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and store operations. You will take ownership of a product category, set sales goals, and track your progress throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests and help them locate or select merchandise.
- Achieve personal sales goals and build long-term guest relationships.
- Process transactions and handle cash register operations.
- Maintain the sales floor, display new freight, and manage a specific product category.
- Recruit new talent and share product knowledge with the team.
- Complete training sections from the Buckle Management Manual, including orientation and hiring practices.
- Provide weekly progress updates and participate in monthly conference calls.
- Lead and motivate the team using performance tracking tools.
- Follow all company policies and loss prevention guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, jump, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
