Sales and Management Intern

About the role#

The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while developing a deep understanding of retail business operations. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn what it takes to excel in management, with a goal of building long-term commitment with the company.

What you'll do#

• Sales and Service: Achieve personal sales-per-hour and net sales goals while providing legendary service. Assist guests with wardrobing, fitting room needs, and special orders.
• Operations: Manage various operational tasks including cashiering, processing freight, price markdowns, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
• Merchandising: Present merchandise to maximize sales and ensure the sales floor is consistently sized and updated with new freight.
• Leadership Development: Complete sections of the management manual, manage a specific product category, and lead the team by tracking performance metrics.
• Reporting: Provide weekly progress updates to Area and District Managers and participate in monthly conference calls.

What you'll need#

• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and specific holidays.
• Experience: No prior experience or training is necessary.
