About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to develop leadership, recruiting, and merchandising skills within a retail environment. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand Buckle’s business operations and contribute to creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. This is a paid, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Handle operational tasks including opening and closing cash registers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
- Execute merchandising duties such as processing freight, re-merchandising, and preparing displays.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete all required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- An interest in a long-term commitment.
