About the role#
We are looking for a Packaging Co-op to join our Packaging Operations team. You will support continuous improvement initiatives across our packaging lines. This role provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, data analysis, process optimization, and capital project planning. You will work alongside Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Finance teams to identify inefficiencies, develop improvement plans, and drive productivity and cost savings.
What you'll do#
- Trend operational data and losses across multiple IT systems to identify inefficiencies and create problem statements.
- Analyze packaging line performance and support root cause identification for operational losses.
- Monitor key manufacturing metrics to find opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Develop and execute improvement plans to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to near-term and long-term improvement plans for packaging lines.
- Build business cases for small-purchase capital projects.
- Evaluate potential projects by analyzing operational impact, costs, and expected savings.
- Assist with project documentation, presentations, and implementation planning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in an Engineering discipline.
- Must remain enrolled in classes after the co-op ends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and turn findings into recommendations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Interest in manufacturing, process improvement, and engineering.
- Previous co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Prior mechanical, industrial, or hands-on technical experience is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid co-op position.
- The role is based on-site at our Breinigsville, Pennsylvania brewery.
- You will work five days per week at this location.
- The term runs from January 4, 2027, through June 25, 2027.
