Project Engineer Intern

About the role#

The Project Engineer Intern will work on-site at a construction project near Lawton, Oklahoma. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

What you'll do#

• Interpret design and construction drawings for crafts installing materials.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
• Coordinate work schedules with subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Verify that all completed work aligns with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Establish interior and exterior grades and working lines for contractors and crafts.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an accredited undergraduate program.
• Preferred majors include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Evidence of high academic achievement and prior elected leadership experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required, and candidates may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as moving up to 50 pounds, navigating construction sites, and working in various weather conditions and environments.

• Compensation: $21 to $25 per hour, based on relevant previous internship experience
