About the role#
The Project Engineer Intern will work on-site at a construction project near Lawton, Oklahoma. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Interpret design and construction drawings for crafts installing materials.
- Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
- Coordinate work schedules with subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Verify that all completed work aligns with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
- Establish interior and exterior grades and working lines for contractors and crafts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an accredited undergraduate program.
- Preferred majors include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Evidence of high academic achievement and prior elected leadership experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license may be required, and candidates may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as moving up to 50 pounds, navigating construction sites, and working in various weather conditions and environments.
