Estimating Intern - Summer of 2026

About the role#

The Boldt Company is seeking an Estimating Intern for the Summer of 2026. This full-time, paid internship is based on-site in Wixom, Michigan. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

What you'll do#

• Calculate statistical data, including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, and equipment requirements.
• Assist in monitoring conceptual estimates by comparing them against actual cost data.
• Research historical data such as purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports to compile summary reports for future estimating guidelines.
• Support the development of project updates and bid package estimate documents.
• Maintain files of working documents to serve as backup for estimating figures.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an accredited undergraduate program.
• Preferred majors include Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Evidence of high academic achievement and prior elected leadership experience are preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for this role.
