About the role#
As an Estimating Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting the preconstruction process for various construction projects. You will work alongside experienced project teams and estimators to learn how projects move from concept to construction. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and project proposals.
- Review project drawings and specifications.
- Analyze historical project data to help develop accurate budgets and project plans.
- Collaborate with mentors and fellow interns on real work assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university.
- Preferred majors include Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills, including a comfort level with making cold and warm phone calls.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on personal development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Evidence of high academic achievement.
- Current or prior elected leadership experience is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

- Locations: Waukesha, WI; Appleton, WI; Detroit, MI; and Oklahoma City, OK.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Pay: $21 to $25 per hour, based on individual skills, experience, and location.
