Accounting & Finance Intern - Summer 2026

About the role#

The Boldt Company is seeking an Accounting & Finance Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, paid internship is based on-site in Appleton, Wisconsin. The role provides hands-on experience in construction finance and accounting operations.

What you'll do#

• Prepare and analyze cost reports.
• Develop and document internal control procedures and financial processes.
• Prepare general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist with the month-end financial reporting process.
• Support the team on various ad hoc projects.

What you'll need#

• Current student majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration who has completed Intermediate Accounting coursework. A concentration in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Capability to handle multiple priorities in a professional office environment.
• A valid driver's license may be required, subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

• Location: Appleton, Wisconsin.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: On-site, full-time.
• Compensation: $21 to $25 per hour, based on relevant prior internship experience.
• Physical requirements: Ability to remain stationary for up to eight hours, operate standard office equipment, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. The role is based in an indoor office environment and may occasionally require work on weekends or overtime.
